At Ayers, we pride ourselves on our exceptional craftsmanship in embroidery. Every piece we create is made with attention to detail and a passion for quality.
Embroidery is what we are known for, and it is the foundation of our business. Simply put, it's when thread is sewn into garments to achieve the desired graphic. Whether we are working with hats, polos, bags, or other garments, embroidery is a time-tested decoration method, and one that will surely leave a lasting impression.
Transfer prints are a high quality alternative to embroidery. Certain graphics, fabrics, and garments may work better with a transfer print. The benefit of transfer prints is that you are able to achieve full resolution. In other words, the decoration on the garment will look exactly as it does on screen. Our team would be happy to advise on the best decoration technique to achieve your desired result.
Silicone Transfers are a specific type of transfer that have a "rubberized" hand feel. They are useful to convey a clean, high quality, & tech-forward type of aesthetic. Popular use applications include, sports teams, tech companies, and gaming lifestyle companies. Popular fabrics includes polyester, nylon, and other performance type fabrics.
Woven patches and labels are another popular decoration option. The graphics are "woven" into patches or labels, which allows a higher level of detail while still utilizing a thread-based technique. The patch or label is then sewn onto the garment with a single running stitch around the border, or heat sealed if applicable.
Embroidered patches are another classic decoration option. The difference between a woven patch and an embroidered patch is subtle, but distinct. Where woven patches feel "flat" as your run a finger across them, embroidered patches have a raised textured where the threads form the graphic. This is because the graphic is sewn into the patch AFTER the patch is made, as opposed to woven into it during production (like a woven patch)
Chenille patches are considered one of the most striking decoration techniques. While they don't work for every project, they do have a special quality to them that is undeniably cool. They are most commonly seen in vintage varsity and letterman patches from decades gone by, and therefore are used in many sports based applications. The patch has a "rug-like" feel to it, and is sewn onto the garment with a single running stitch.
